I never thought that I could run a 1/2 marathon. I had signed up for the San Francisco 1/2 Marathon in July, but couldn't do it as I couldn't even run a mile in May! So Jesse did it for me and managed an amazing time, even though "we" didn't get a time as someone put their timing chip in their pocket!

Well this time was different. Gideon, me and Jesse made pact to run it. And, after 25 lbs and all that training, we all did it, despite my bum knee (runner's knee, but with swimming, strengthening and NSAIDs I managed to do it!) And no, Jesse, I was not faking it! Notably, after the race Jesse (who had said he'd push me along in wheelchair or called me "lock knee") complained of knee pain. Gideon and I just complained of exhausint - but we did it and rewarded oursleves with 1/2 chickens at Flore - mmmmm.

But all in all a great time. A warm Sunday run along the Marina, the Presidio across and back over the Golden Gate Bridge - ah - it was a great time!

Afterrwards.

G and Jesse - in the Aquatic Park - do all races in San Francisco start and/or end here? It seems it. However, unlike the Cable Car chase there was no sake at the end of it - just some random vegan mousse cake...

Noel and G.

What is he doing?

Now, before the race - slightly chilly.

Jesse and me - at least this time he had non-smelling shorts! And, like last time, he kicked my ass in terms of overall time
